Amplify Your Tech Skills

In partnership with SHEIN, CodePath offers  students in California an opportunity to amplify their careers in tech.

Get ready for a hands-on learning experience that will give you a preview of real-world software topics and prepare you to ace the technical interview, along with exclusive mentorship hosted by SHEIN. Students that complete the course will have increased application visibility with SHEIN positions

*Open to rising juniors (2026), seniors (2025), and recent graduates. Must be in California. If your application is not routed as eligible for this program, you will be invited to apply to courses you are eligible for - please review your application carefully and reach out with any questions.

Eligibility

  • Open to Seniors (Class of 2025) Juniors (Class of 2026) and Recent Graduates (Fall 2024).
  • Must attend a University in California.
  • Community College Students are eligible to apply.
  • Must test into TIP 102, based on your HackerRank score.
  • International Students are not eligible at this time. 
  • Must commit to attending classes during the required days and times; no exceptions will be made.
  • Have completed at least one basic programming course and an algorithms and data structures course.
  • Students who are pursuing a course of study in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related subject.
  • Will be able to allocate 6-10 hours, including class time, each week.

 

How to Apply

  1. Fill out a 10-15 minute application
    about your previous exposure to programming, your interest in a career in tech, and general information about you as a person. You will need a GitHub account in order to complete the application.

  2. Complete a HackerRank Assessment.
    Applicants will complete a HackerRank calibration test. This is a 120-minute timed assessment that is meant to analyze your understanding of concepts that will be covered in our courses.  Eligible students must score above a certain threshold and be placed in either our Intermediate or our Advanced course.

FAQs

  • Why should I apply to this program?

    This unique opportunity is offered exclusively to students based in California looking to amplify their tech skills. 

    Students enrolled in the program will receive exclusive mentorship from SHEIN Software Engineers as well as have increased application visibility with SHEIN positions.

  • How do I apply for the SHEIN x CodePath program?

    First, you will need to fill out an application sharing your background in computer science, your interest in a career in tech, and general information about you as a person.

    Then, you will need to complete the HackerRank assessment. This is a required portion of the application.

    If you are eligible for the SHEIN program, you will be asked to select between the TIP10X_SH (TIP SHEIN) and TIP10X (Regular TIP). 

    If you do not see TIP10X_SH on the recommended courses, it means that your qualifications do not match this program. You can still apply to the course/s you are eligible for. If you think our evaluation is incorrect and you pass all the requirements listed in the Eligibility section, please review your application carefully and reach out to admissions@codepath.org with any questions.

  • What are the program dates?

    TIP 102 will run from the week of February 17, 2025 to the week of April 21, 2025.

  • What is CodePath's Technical Interview Prep Course?

    The Technical Interview Prep course from CodePath is a no-cost 10-week virtual class that helps students learn the skills needed for successfully acing the technical interview process. The course accommodates varying experience levels including beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Problem-solving practice, tools and techniques, mock interviews, and info sessions with industry professionals will be included in the program.

  • What will be the instructors for the courses?

    The course instructors will be professionals from major technology companies, start-ups, and academia.

  • What if I need additional help during the course?

    CodePath teaching assistants will be available to help with assignments. You will be in a Slack channel where you can ask questions, and you can also email your instructors if you have further questions.

  • Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the course?

    Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion upon completion of the course. Many of our students will post and share their certificates on LinkedIn, and we encourage you to do so!

  • When will I hear back about the status of my application?

    We process admissions periodically and do our best to keep up with the volume of applications.
