  • What is a pre-internship?

A pre-internship is part Web Development bootcamp/part technical internship, and functions as an onramp for college juniors to prepare for senior internship roles. Pre-interns are taught a rigorous Web Development curriculum within a 9 to 5 workplace setting, and walk away with a functioning app that applies their knowledge of full stack web tools. Futureforce Tech Launchpad provides pre-interns with the technical skillset and workplace experience to successfully apply and succeed as senior college interns.

  • What is the Futureforce Tech Launchpad program?

Futureforce Tech Launchpad is a full-time paid summer pre-internship launched by Salesforce and CodePath for rising college juniors. This is a 10-week immersive program that offers students a deep understanding of web development, relevant technical work experience, and an opportunity to connect with technology leaders.

Students will be hired by Salesforce as pre-interns and expected to work 9 am - 5 pm PT from June 3 - August 9, 2024. Students will participate in team meetings such as daily stand-ups, workshops and receive mentorship from software engineering professionals at Salesforce.

This program will take place in person at Salesforce's San Francisco office.

  • How do I apply to Futureforce Tech Launchpad?

First, you will need to fill out an application sharing your background in computer science, your interest in a career in tech, and general information about you as a person. You will also need to submit a short answer response. Those who successfully pass the application to the final stage must complete two tasks: a personal website project using basic HTML and CSS and a 10-minute recording of your responses to a series of questions.

  • Who can apply for Futureforce Tech Launchpad?

We are looking for students who will complete their sophomore year in Spring 2024 and are enrolled in a computer-related course of study at a US college or university. Students should also have completed an introductory course in computer science and have familiarity with functions, conditionals, loops, variables, primitive data types, and arrays.

  • Why should I apply to this program?

The collaboration between Salesforce and CodePath brings students high-quality learning, work experience, and mentorship that will help them shape their education and plan for a career in the tech industry. Students who successfully complete this program may qualify for a Salesforce internship the following summer.

CodePath is a non-profit with years of experience training software engineers at some of the top companies in the tech industry, including Airbnb, Meta, Netflix, and others.

  • What are the pre-internship dates?

The program runs from June 3 - August 9, 2024.
